What is the cost?

There are many factors that go into the pricing of a stump job. These can include size of the stump, location and access leading to the stump, the type of tree, how rotted the stump is, and the size of the root flair of the stump. 

By simply texting some pictures over, you can quickly find out how much your stump will cost to remove. 

Just to give a ballpark estimate a 12-24" stump typically costs around $150-$200 to grind below grade leaving the chips in a neat pile where the stump was. Additional stumps of that size can be added on for a fraction of that cost. Your 24-36" stump may run $200-$300 and anything over 40" usually is $300 and above depending on the factors listed above. 

However, some factors may make the job cheaper. For example a 40" half rotted pine stump may only take minutes to grind and will be much less than a comparable sized fresh cut maple.
